Tai Chi Sticks
Registration for this class has closed. We hope to see you at an upcoming Tai Chi series!
Join us for Tai Chi Sticks and learn to incorporate gentle movement into your life! Tai Chi is an ancient practice consisting of low-impact, slow-motion movement. The movements are intentional and meditative, improving muscle strength, flexibility, balance and aerobic conditioning. In this fun, no-judgement series, you will learn Tai Chi poses – known traditionally as “forms” – that include handheld Tai Chi sticks. Tai Chi sticks focus the mind on the body, press and massage acupuncture points and are a fun way for beginners to concentrate their attention. Registration includes Garden admission for the day—feel free to explore the Garden after class at your leisure.
Registration includes a series of 6 sessions – We cannot provide partial refunds for missed sessions.
Mondays, January 8, 15, 22, 29 and February 5, 12 (3:00 – 4:00 pm)
Registration Deadline: Thursday, January 4, 2024
$80/Adult or $70/Member Adult
Materials: Please bring a 5ft broomstick (similar to this: Quickie 60 in. L x 1-1/8 in. Thick Tapered Handle 54103 – The Home Depot) and wear comfortable clothes that allow free movement.
