Adult Education – Classes & Workshops

Take a yoga class surrounded by nature, boost your photography skills in the Japanese Garden, start your vegetable garden, and more! We help lifelong learners grow through a variety of learning experiences, bringing people closer to nature, creativity, and wellness. By registering for a class, you are supporting both the Garden and local instructors. Thank you!

Our adult education program is supported by our partners at the Tarrant County Master Gardeners Association, Fort Worth Audubon Society, Fort Worth Garden Club, and Fort Worth Bonsai Society.

Registration for most education programs closes 2 business days prior to the event. This allows time to determine if we have met the minimum registrations required and then contact guests with either program details or cancellation notices. Individual registration deadlines are listed in program descriptions. To help avoid your program details or cancellation notices being accidentally mislabeled as junk mail, please whitelist the FWBG.org domain with your email provider.

FAQs

  • Adult classes and workshops are for participants 18 and older.
  • Discounted classes are a perk of Family level memberships and above.
  • Program registration fees include complimentary entry into the Garden on the day of the program. Entry to the BRIT building is always free (M – F, 10 am – 4 pm).
  • To cancel your registration for a class, please email mschmidlkofer@brit.org at least ten calendar days prior to the start of that class. You will receive an 85% refund. No refunds are granted less than ten calendar days before the class starts. If you choose, you may gift your seat in the class to a friend or family member; we will need the new participant’s name and email address at least two days prior to the class.
  • Payment for your class reserves your seat and allows us to secure the instructor. If you are late for class, your seat will be reserved; we do not transfer your seat to walk-in participants. Partial refunds or transfers are not available for unattended classes.
  • A class is canceled if it does not meet the minimum registration requirement two business days prior to the class.
  • Register early to help ensure that the class you want is not canceled due to low enrollment, and encourage your friends to do the same!
  • In the event that Adult Education must cancel a class, you will be notified by email two business days prior to the class and offered the following options. We can transfer your ticket to another class (or classes, so long as the new value does not exceed the original value) or provide a refund.
