Tai Chi Sticks

Tai Chi is an ancient practice consisting of low-impact, slow-motion movement. The movements are intentional and meditative, improving muscle strength, flexibility, balance and aerobic conditioning. In this fun, no-judgement series, you will explore Tai Chi poses – known traditionally as “forms”—and learn to incorporate gentle movement into your life. Registration includes Garden admission on session dates—we encourage you to explore the Garden before and after each session!

In Tai Chi Sticks, you will learn forms that include handheld rods or “sticks.”  Tai Chi sticks are used to focus the mind on the body and press and massage acupuncture points.  They are also a fun tool to help beginners concentrate their attention.

Registration includes a series of 6 sessions – We cannot provide partial refunds for missed sessions.

Mondays, August 19, 26, September 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2024 (3:00-4:00pm)

Please note that Tai Chi Sticks will NOT meet on Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day.
