Stroller Strides in the Garden
Join us with your stroller-aged children to explore hidden corners of the garden and build community through engagement with the outdoors, movement and connection. Each Stroller Strides class will comprise a warm-up, 50 minutes of cardio (walking or jogging), strength and core movements, and stretching and cool-down. Note: For safety purposes, children must be secured in a stroller for the duration of the 60 minute class. No equipment is required for this class, but participants can bring a yoga mat or towel they can put on the ground for seated core work and stretching. We recommend snacks and novel toys for kids in the stroller. Please arrive 15 minutes early to the first class to sign a fitness waiver.
During class, we will focus on movement, mom-child connection and engaging children with the Garden’s delights. Our hope is that over the Stroller Strides in the Garden series, moms can build community with other participants while giving themselves the gift of self-care and movement.
Instructors: Becca and Sarah have a combined 16 years of experience providing movement and community to moms and families. In Fort Worth, they provide classes for all seasons of motherhood from prenatal onward. They are certified to provide training to both pregnant and postpartum moms who have been cleared for exercise. Their work in Fort Worth is aimed at providing workouts while helping moms find their Village. They value inclusion and aim to provide a place of belonging for all moms, regardless of race, faith, marital status or socioeconomic status.
