Spring Foraging for Edible Foods
Registration for this event is now closed.
Forager and naturalists Eric Knight and Stacy Coplin will present an overview of foraging wild and edible plants in Texas as well as methods for finding, identifying, and harvesting edible wild foods from foraged plants and favorite recipes. The event will conclude with a walk on the nature trail beside the Texas Garden Clubhouse. Registration for this event includes general admission for the date of the event.
Instructors: Eric M. Knight and Stacy M. Coplin are co-authors of Foraging Texas: Finding, Identifying, and Preparing Wild Foods in Texas. They run Local Leaf LLC, where they sustainably wild-harvest, process, and sell Yaupon Matcha. Eric is an environmental engineer and teaches edible/medicinal plant classes at Earth Native Wilderness School, UT’s Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, and through his own business, as well as custom edible plant classes.
