Forest Bathing: January

Forest Bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is the deliberate practice of immersion in nature using mindfulness and the senses. This practice originated in Japan and allows the body, mind, and spirit to relax and rejuvenate surrounded by the healing powers of nature. In this class, we’ll first discuss the guiding principles of shinrin-yoku that enable us to soak up the natural world around us; then each guest will enjoy individual time practicing their Forest Bathing in the Japanese Garden before reconvening to share our experiences. Registration includes Garden admission for the day—feel free to explore the Garden after class at your leisure.
