24-Form Tai Chi

Registration for this class is now closed. We hope to see you for another Food & Wellness class soon!

Tai Chi is an ancient practice consisting of low-impact, slow-motion movement. The movements are intentional and meditative, improving muscle strength, flexibility, balance and aerobic conditioning. In this fun, no-judgement series, you will explore Tai Chi poses – known traditionally as “forms”—and learn to incorporate gentle movement into your life.

Over the course of six Monday afternoon sessions, you will learn 24 Tai Chi forms. When weather permits, sessions will be held in the Japanese Garden’s Pavilion surrounded by Japanese Maples. Registration includes Garden admission on session dates—we encourage you to explore the Garden before and after each session!

Registration includes a series of 6 sessions – We cannot provide partial refunds for missed sessions but encourage you to continue coming to other sessions if you miss one.

Mondays, October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4, and 18 (3:00 – 4:00 pm) Please note that class will not meet on November 11.

Registration closes October 5.

$80/Adult or $70/Member Adult

Materials: Please wear comfortable clothes that allow free movement.

Location: Check-in at the entrance to the Japanese Garden / Park in Lot D
