Sam Ekberg is the Digitization Technician who will be working on the Sherwin Carlquist Collection and georeferencing for the TORCH Herbaria grant projects. She graduated with her Master’s of Library Science in Archival Studies from the University of North Texas in May, and also graduated with her BFA in photography from UNT in 2020. During her time at UNT, she worked in the Digital Projects Unit, digitizing various materials for The Portal to Texas History and UNT Digital Library. She has two cats, loves any type of art, and will ride any roller coaster.
