Traveling through Texas’ Treasures: Watercolors by Marie Wesby

Do you appreciate Texas plants in bloom? BRIT Library’s latest art exhibition, Traveling through Texas’ Treasures, features watercolor paintings of Texas native plants by botanical artist Marie Wesby.  Many of these paintings would go on to be included in Wesby’s A Treasury of Texas Flora (2001), a comprehensive book detailing many native Texas plants’ growing seasons and their names’ etymologies.

This exhibit is on display from 10 AM to 4 PM in the BRIT building’s second floor Upper Atrium Collections Gallery until June 30.

The BRIT building is open to visitors Monday through Friday. The BRIT building will be closed Monday, June 20, in observance of Juneteenth.
