Learning about Herbs: Beat End-of-Summer Blues with Catnip!

Join us on select Fridays in July, August, and September for a relaxing evening learning all about specific herbs. In a casual and interactive environment, our expert instructor will share the herb’s properties and uses, as well as how to grow your own at home. Activities may include tea-tasting, making herbal treats and creating herb-based crafts.

Join us for a fun interactive evening all about catnip! While it may drive feline friends wild, this herb is soothing for people of all ages. We’ll have an herbal tea tasting and learn about catnip’s properties. You’ll make an earth-friendly insect repellent, learn how to grow catnip at home, and end the class with a fun craft project. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and inspired to share catnip with family and furry friends alike.

Instructor: Andrea Garcia is an herbalist and registered dietitian living in the Dallas-Ft Worth, TX area and she loves sharing how herbs and plants can bring ease, joy, and delight into our lives. From growing herbs in your backyard to making herbal remedies, or finding delicious ways to add herbs your food, Andrea will show you how to bring more herbs into your day-to-day. Andrea graduated from the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine in 2015.

Location: BRIT building – Park and check-in at Main Lot.
