How to Grow Plants in a Container Garden

Want to know how to plant an eye-catching and long-blooming container garden that is low-maintenance and able to survive the temperature extremes of North Texas? In this class, you will learn the design principles of using plants as an artistic medium. You will also gain a basic understanding of the container as its own distinct ecosystem. The instructor will share favorite tips and plants to use. Each participant will be provided materials to create their own take-home plant container masterpiece during class.
After class, explore the Gardens at your leisure; registration includes Garden admission for the day.

Materials: Provided
Instructor: Amon Ibrahim is a Landscape Designer for Weston Gardens and has a BS in Horticulture from the University of Arkansas. He is an expert in both Texas natives and well-adaptive plants and loves helping people find the perfect plants for their yards. Amon has extensive knowledge of light and water requirements and the growth process from newly-planted to mature. He also has a decade of experience in landscaping, garden maintenance, plant propagation and horticultural retail. Amon loves sharing his passion and knowledge with others.
Location: BRIT building – Park and check-in at Main Lot.
