Girls Nature Workshop: Living, Breathing, Sculpture
Registration for this program is now closed. We hope to see you next month!
Together in partnership, the Fort Worth Garden Club (FWGC) and FWBG present the Girls Nature Workshops series! These hands-on programs connect girls and their families to the fascinating world of horticulture and floriculture. Each workshop highlights skills and activities designed to inspire the next generation of plant lovers and environmental stewards.
Although Girls Nature Workshops are not specifically designed to meet badge requirements, Girl Scouts are welcome to complete badge work through these programs. Please note: petals or badges are not available on-site; they can be purchased at the Girl Scout store or online.
In September, participants will learn about the centuries-old art of creating and nurturing a Bonsai Tree. Girls will plant and wire a tree seedling to begin training it into a bonsai! They will also visit the beautiful Japanese Garden for inspiration from Japanese artistic concepts.
This series is recommended for ages 7-12. Registration includes admission to the Garden for the day!
