Girls Nature Workshop: Fiesta Flowers
Together in partnership, the Fort Worth Garden Club (FWGC) and FWBG present the Girls Nature Workshops series! These hands-on programs connect girls and their families to the fascinating world of horticulture and floriculture. Each workshop highlights skills and activities designed to inspire the next generation of plant lovers and environmental stewards.
Although Girls Nature Workshops are not specifically designed to meet badge requirements, Girl Scouts are welcome to complete badge work through these programs. Please note: petals or badges are not available on-site; they can be purchased at the Girl Scout store or online.
In October’s workshop, participants will learn about how for centuries indigenous cultures have used all parts of the corn plant to their advantage. Participants will fashion flowers using dyed corn husks to use in a Fall bouquet or holiday wreath.
This series is recommended for ages 7-12. Registration includes admission to the Garden for the day!
