Drawing in the Garden: Cactus Garden

Registration for this class is now closed. We hope to see you next month!

Looking to discover – or polish – your drawing skills in the natural beauty of the Garden? Bring your favorite portable medium and explore a new artistic focus each month. Local artist Erika Duque Scully will start with a demonstration, then answer questions and provide tips and one-on-one attention throughout a free-drawing session. We will end by gathering to share our experiences and drawings.  Registration includes general admission for the day—feel free to explore the Garden after class at your leisure.

In April, try your hand at capturing the prickly – but no less beautiful – Cactus Garden in your sketchpad. Tucked away beside the Japanese Garden, this hidden gem consists of an extensive collection of Texas native cacti and succulents.

Saturday, April 6 (9:00 – 11:00am)

Registration Deadline:  April 3, 2024

$35/Adult or $30/Member Adult

Materials: Please bring your favorite drawing pencils, pens and paper.

Location: Check-in at West Entrance / Park in Lot D
