Drawing the Garden

Eager to engage your inner-artist and learn, or polish, drawing skills? This monthly drawing class offers personal instruction in mastering line, form, shading, composition, balance, and more as you practice in the beauty and tranquility of our gardens. This month, we will be taking a unique, behind-the-scenes look in one of the Garden’s working greenhouses!
*Please note that for November, this class has been moved from the first Saturday of the month to the second Saturday, November 12.
Instructor: Erika Duque Scully is a landscape and nature-based painter who lives and works in Fort Worth, TX. Scully received her BFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA in painting at Texas Christian University. She has been featured in over thirty solo and group shows throughout the Metroplex. In 2017, Scully was nominated by Ro2 Gallery for Rising Star Fundraiser at the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts. She is currently represented by Fort Works Art Gallery in Fort Worth.

Location: Conservation Greenhouse – Park and check-in at Lot D/West Entrance*
*This event takes place partially outdoors. In the event of pending inclement weather, registrants will be notified via email the day before the program if it has been canceled and refunds will be offered.
Materials: your favorite drawing pencils and pens, and paper
