Creative Art with Olivia: Altered Book Plant Preservation
Registration for this class is now closed. We hope to see you next month!
Calling all Art Adventurers! Engage with the natural world by experimenting with a variety of media and techniques. These monthly classes are appropriate for all ability and experience levels and promote enjoyment over perfection. Enjoy playing with art materials, learning new processes and having fun with our instructor’s open-ended, judgment-free style of art-making! Registration includes Garden admission for the day—we encourage you to explore the Garden before class for inspiration.
Discover the possibilities of altered books — an earth-friendly art approach that focuses on creative reuse, upcycling and reimagining materials! Bring a retired book to transform into a collection of expressive botanical artworks. We encourage you to register for multiple classes and bring the same book to continue altering. In September, we’ll cover different ways to press flowers and leaves and incorporate them in your book.
Tuesday, September 17, 2024 (6:00-8:00pm)
Registration closes September 12.
$42/Adult or $36/Member Adult
Materials: Please bring a hardback book with standard paper (not glossy or photo paper) that you no longer use. Not ready to retire any books? No problem, the Garden can provide recycled books as needed.
