Begonias 101 – From Our Collection to Yours
Registration for this class is now closed. We hope to see you for another Horticulture & Gardening class soon!
Get to know the Garden’s Begonia Collection & Species Bank – the largest accredited begonia collection in North America – and grow your own collection with propagated specimens! Class will begin with a tour of the collection led by the Garden’s Greenhouse Collections Coordinator, Glenn Dickerson. Then, he’ll provide hands-on instruction on two propagation methods, leaf propagation and stem/tip propagation. Each participant will take home at least 2 begonia collection plants through this propagation practice.
Participants will have the opportunity to adopt select begonias at the end of the tour to help support the collection.
Saturday, May 25, 2024 (9:00-11:00 am)
Registration closes May 22.
$30/Adult or $20/Member Adult
Materials: All materials provided.
Location: Check-in at the Garden Center / Park in the main lot.
Instructor: Glenn Dickerson is the Greenhouse Collections Coordinator for Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
