To cut down on water usage at home, install low-flow design showerheads. You can also conserve water (and your money) by washing only full loads of clothes, replacing older toilets with more efficient flushers, and by fixing even small drips and leaks.
And when it comes to brushing your teeth, turn off the tap! The average bathroom faucet flows at a rate of two gallons per minute. If water runs for three minutes while brushing your teeth twice a day, that’s 12 gallons of water down the drain—11 more than needed DAILY.
Did you ever wonder how many gallons of water you use in a day?
