Botanic Garden Hosts Pop-Up Comment Meeting

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden | Botanical Research Institute of Texas, with Studio Outside, will host a pop-up guest engagement meeting onsite April 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to invite further feedback on the Garden’s long-term master plan.

Prior to this meeting, six public comment meetings were held throughout the Fort Worth community and also submitted online. Comments may still be submitted online through April 12 via a survey in English or Spanish at fwbg.org/masterplan

Glimpse the Garden’s history through BRIT Herbarium specimens

Today, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) are a single organization, but that is a recent development. BRIT and the Garden combined forced in October 2020 after many decades of independent operation. However, the Garden and BRIT worked together for years before the merger. One aspect of that long-term partnership is preserved in specimens in the BRIT Herbarium that were collected in the Garden.
