Living Collections Begonia Species Bank (BSB) Scientific Photography
Step behind the scenes of one of the world’s most significant Begonia collections with a summer internship at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. This unique opportunity invites photography-, horticulture-, and science-minded students to help document the internationally recognized Begonia Species Bank through high-quality scientific imaging. You’ll work directly with expert horticulturists and the Begonia Collection Curator to photograph rare and conservation-important species, refine photographic protocols, explore equipment and technique innovations, and contribute to a growing visual database that supports global research and public accessibility. If you’re passionate about plants, conservation, and creative scientific communication—and ready to gain hands-on experience that blends artistry with botanical science—this internship offers an unforgettable way to make an impact on a living collection unlike any other. Hours: Minimum of 180 hours

Stipend: $3000 total

Living Collections Enhancing Plant Curation Through Seed Trials & Specialized Care
Discover what it takes to care for and curate the living collections of a world-class public garden through a hands-on summer internship at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. In this immersive role, you’ll work alongside horticulturists and botanists to explore the practical and scientific sides of plant conservation—testing germination strategies for West Texas native species, helping revitalize rare orchid and cactus collections, and learning how curated plant collections support research, education, and ecological resilience. If you’re passionate about horticulture, plant science, or conservation and want real experience that blends fieldwork, botanical research, and specialized plant care, this internship offers a unique opportunity to grow your skills while making a lasting impact on one of the Garden’s most meaningful conservation projects.
