    Fort Worth Botanic Garden provides students and teachers with the unique opportunity to connect with nature in an outdoor educational setting. Whether you opt for a Self-Guided Field Trip, allowing your class to explore our stunning 110-acre campus at their own pace, or choose one of our Facilitated Field Trips with engaging Environmental STEM activities aligned with age-appropriate TEKS, your students are sure to have an unforgettable experience. Each field trip includes admission to the Garden, designated bus parking, and discounted rates for pre-paid registrations. Special discounts are also available for Title 1 schools, ensuring accessibility for all.

    Give your child an experience filled with learning, creativity, and outdoor fun at S.E.E.D. (Summer Exploration, Engagement, and Discovery) Camp! Designed for children from pre-K to middle school, these camps offer a perfect blend of hands-on environmental STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, art, and math) exploration, inspiring young minds to become curious scientists, imaginative thinkers, and healthy, active individuals. With sessions that cater to different age groups running simultaneously, our camps are a convenient and enriching experience for the entire family.

    Discover Fall: Seeds on the Move

    How do plants prepare for the next generation? As seasons change, plants shift their energy from growing and flowering to producing seeds and preparing for winter. Students investigate how plants ensure their offspring can survive and spread to new places.

    LEEDing the Way

    Middle School & High School STEM Program

    Days: Tuesdays–Fridays (Fall), Thursdays–Fridays (Spring)

    Group size: Maximum 100 participants

    Students examine how cultural, social, and economic factors shape environmental solutions, and how ecosystem biodiversity connects to the Texas landscape. A guided tour introduces these concepts, followed by an on-site Engineering Design Challenge where students apply what they’ve learned.

    Becoming Butterflies Field Trip

    Pre-K through 12th Grade | $10 per Student | $15 per Adult*
    March 4th, 2026 – April 30th, 2026, Tuesday & Wednesday in 2-hour time slots starting at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

    • A minimum of 15 participants to qualify
    • Maximum group size 120 participants for 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. timeslot

    Explore the Fort Worth Botanic Garden Conservatory with live domestic butterflies while engaging in TEKS-based activities that encourage you to experience the world of the butterfly!

    *Please note that all groups within the Conservatory will have a 1-hour time limit.

    • All buses will park at the West Entrance, which is located at 3408 West Fwy., Fort Worth 76107.

    • In extreme weather situations or other extenuating circumstances, rescheduling options may be available.

    • Full refunds for cancellations or partial refunds for adjusted participant numbers are available until the payment due date (two weeks before the visit). After this point, no refunds are available.

    • Final participant counts and payments are due two weeks before the visit date. Payments can be made by credit card, check, or purchase order.

    • Yes, discounted rates are offered for students from Title 1 schools.

    • Adults not included in the pre-paid registration will be charged the full admission fee on the day of the visit.

    • Yes, a minimum of one chaperone per ten students is required for safety reasons. Required chaperones are registered free of charge, though additional adults are charged a registration fee.

    • Yes, participant numbers can be adjusted during the registration process and must be finalized two weeks before the visit when payment is due.

    • Field trips are priced based on the number of participants. For groups of 20 or fewer, a flat fee is charged, determined by the type of field trip.
