Learning and Engagement Internship: Homeschool Programs
This internship within the FWBG Learning and Engagement department offers hands-on experience supporting a variety of Homeschool programs at the Garden, including Homeschool Days, Homeschool STEM Studios, and the Homeschool Science Fair.
Botanical Library Internship at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas
The internship will focus on the archival collection of American botanist, Sherwin Carlquist, working with his collection of photographs, field notebooks and negative film.
Duration: May – August 2026
Hours per week: 200 hours total
Schedule: Consistent schedule between Mon – Fri, 9 am to 6 pm
Location: Onsite and remote depending on tasks
Stipend: $3000 total

Conservation Seed Bank Laboratory Internship at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas
The BRIT Conservation Seed Bank laboratory and field technician internship aims to provide a qualified applicant with holistic, hands-on experience working in rare Texas native plant conservation, processing, curation, and research. The selected applicant(s) can expect to receive training in the laboratory techniques and best practices required for conservation seed banking, processing, curation, research, and evaluation.
Duration: 10 weeks; May-July (subject to applicant availability).
Hours per week: Average 20 hours per week for a maximum total of 200 hours.
Schedule: The ideal candidate is available to work on-site during regular business hours 3-4 days a week for a minimum of 5 hours per day.
Location: The Botanical Research Institute of Texas at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
Stipend: $3000 total
