  • We love making ongoing connections with our guests! Most classes end with a group photo that is shared with you in the follow-up email, and some will include additional photos. We encourage you to post your own photos of Garden classes in your social media and tag us at #FWBG.

  • Many classes are held outdoors and may require moderate walking to and from one or more locations. We recommend participants wear closed-toe shoes and dress for  outdoor adventures.

Materials for most classes are provided in full by the Garden. If a class requires you to bring something, it will be listed in the class description online and included in the class detail email sent after registration closes.

  • Adult education registration fees include complimentary general admission on the day of the class. Please inform staff at the Admissions Desk which class you are attending to enter the Garden. Entry to the BRIT building is always free (M – F, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).

  • Classes take place at various locations around the Garden. General locations are described in class descriptions. Specifics of the class check-in location and recommended parking will be included in the class details email sent to all registered guests the day after the registration deadline.

  • We endeavor to offer a quality educational experience to each program participant, with class sizes and deadlines supporting this policy. To inquire about availability after the online registration period has closed, please email adult-ed@fwbg.org.

  • Yes, discounted classes are a perk for members at the Family level and above. Login to your member account to select the member price type during the registration process. Members’ guests do not qualify for the member rate.

  • By registering and participating in Garden programs, participants grant permission to the Garden and its designees to utilize participants’ image, likeness, actions, or statements in any form taken during a visit to the institution for the purpose of promoting it and its other locations in perpetuity.

  • Can I cancel my registration?

    • To receive an 85% refund, please email adult-ed@fwbg.org at least ten calendar days prior to the start of the class and include your name, phone number and the name of the class. No refunds are granted less than ten calendar days before the class starts.
    • If the refund window has passed, consider gifting your seat to a friend or family member. To do so, please email adult-ed@fwbg.org at least two days before the start of class and include the class name, the new participant’s name and their email address.

When might the Garden cancel class?

    • A class is canceled if it does not meet the minimum registration requirement two business days prior to the class. Register early to help ensure that the class you want is not canceled due to low enrollment and encourage your friends to do the same!
    • If Adult Education must cancel a class, you will be notified by email two business days prior to the class and offered these options: we can transfer your ticket to another class right away (or classes, so long as the new value does not exceed the original value)or provide a full refund to the original form of payment.

What happens in case of inclement weather?

    • Inclement weather plans vary by class and are included on class registration pages. Please take note of your class’s plan and if a rain date is included, plan for its potential use.
    • The decision to use the inclement weather plan will be communicated to you via email by 5pm the day before class.
    • A class’s inclement weather plan will be used  if heavy rain and/or lightning is present. Light rain typically does not necessitate the use of a weather plan. In cases of snow and ice, weather plans will be used for indoor and outdoor classes if the Garden must close.
    • Refunds are not granted for registrants unable to attend a rain date. If you choose, you may gift your seat in the class to a friend or family member. To do so, please email adult-ed@fwbg.org at least two days before the scheduled rain date and include the class name, the new participant’s name and their email address.
