After serving 26 years as the senior horticulturist for the FWBG, Steve returned to work part-time at BRIT as public relations manager. In this role, he builds ongoing public interest in and support for the organization through community outreach, partnerships, media relations, sponsorships, and collaborations. Among other things, Steve promotes FWBG|BRIT by broadcasting weekly on Neil Sperry’s Lawn & Garden Show on radio station WBAP.
Steve received degrees from Oklahoma State University and the University of Arizona. He is co-author of the book Easy Gardens for North Central Texas and president of his own landscaping company, which gives him the opportunity to fulfill his passion of creating beauty with plants.
