We offer internships to qualified applicants at both the Botanical Research Institute of Texas and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. With this opportunity, interns gain hands-on experience with professionals in the fields of botany, horticulture, education, marketing, and conservation!
Duration: May 29th – July 26th 2024, 35 hours per week
Stipend: $3000
Location: Fully onsite at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden

This internship will emphasize the implementation of educational programing for the FWBG summer camp program, S.E.E.D. Camp. The intern will work alongside the camp director and lead teachers to assist with camp procedures and activities for children in grades PreK-8th Grade. Interns will prepare a presentation to be shared with staff at the end of the program.
Duration: August 2024- December 2024 (240 Hours total)
Stipend: $3700
Schedule: Intern will create a regular weekly schedule that fits within 9am-5pm Mon-Fri.
Location: Fully onsite in the Philecology Herbarium and the Sumner Molecular Laboratory at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden

This internship will give students their own research project within the Ferns of Colombia project, funded by the National Science Foundation. Students will be trained in basic herbarium and laboratory techniques to study plant diversity and evolution.
