We offer field trips for K – 8th grade students! Our programs are TEKS-based and provide an exciting learning experience on our beautiful grounds. Click HERE for information on our three programs: Plant A Seed (K – 2nd), All About Terrariums (3rd – 5th) and Wormania (5th – 8th).
Thanks to our education partners the Fort Worth Audubon Society, each class returns to school with an “Audubon Adventures” exploration kit.
For High School, we offer a science concept investigation based on your class’s study.
Program Information:
Plant A Seed and All About Terrariums: Maximum of 60 students per time slot.
Wormania: Maximum of 40 students per time slot.
The Fort Worth Botanic Garden, the oldest botanic garden in Texas, is the ultimate destination for self-guided field trips. Explore ponds, creeks, wooded acres, meadows and twenty-six specialty gardens. Try our physical fitness objectives designed for various age groups.
Come join us for a great learning experience that’s TEKS and TAKS compliant and lots of fun! You’ll discover a world of beauty and nature in our outdoor classroom. The Self-Guided learning experience includes free admission to most areas of the Garden and free parking. Click HERE, to download a pdf version of the guide to print for your students.
Do you prefer that we to come to you? Our outreach team will do that- with living plants and hands-on elements for your students in a 40-minute program.
$100 per class (up to 20 students)
2 class minimum, 6 maximum per day
$25 travel fee (w/in 20 miles of BG)
