We offer field trips for K – 8th grade students! Our programs are TEKS-based and provide science support in an exciting learning experience on our beautiful grounds. Click HERE for information on our three programs: Plant A Seed (K – 2nd), All About Terrariums (3rd – 5th) and Wormania (5th – 8th).
Thanks to our education partners the Fort Worth Audubon Society, 3rd – 5th grade teachers return to school with an “Audubon Adventures” exploration kit.
For high school, we offer a science concept investigation based on your class’s study.
Plant A Seed and All About Terrariums: Maximum of 60 students per time slot.
Wormania: Maximum of 40 students per time slot.
The Fort Worth Botanic Garden, the oldest botanic garden in Texas, is the ultimate destination for self-guided field trips. Explore ponds, creeks, wooded acres, meadows and twenty-three specialty gardens. Try our physical fitness objectives designed for various age groups.
Come join us for a great learning experience that’s TEKS compliant and lots of fun! You’ll discover a world of beauty and nature in our outdoor classroom. The Self-Guided learning experience includes free admission to most areas of the Garden and free parking. Do you prefer that we to come to you? Our outreach team will do that- with living plants and hands-on elements for your students in a 40-minute program.

Bring your class to experience the largest exhibit of live, exotic butterflies in North Central Texas at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden!

Butterflies, Blooms & BRIT
Your 2 – hour program includes a field trip to BRIT that prepares learners for a visit to the butterfly exhibit at the Botanic Garden.
Dates: March 3-7, March 17-21, March 24-28, March 31-April 4
Times: 10 am-noon or 12:30-2:30 pm
School groups- max. 60, min. 20, including chaperones
$5 per person, to be paid at time of registration
Botanic Garden: 1 hour for conservatory, gift shop, restroom, and walk to and from BRIT
BRIT: 1 hour for 5 stations- Pollinator exhibit and perfect pollen activity (30 min); butterfly learning stations: behaviors, flowers and color preferences, and butterfly life cycle (30 min)
