Homeschool Days

Homeschool Days are designed with the unique needs of homeschool students and their families in mind. Come grow with us as we explore environmental science topics through hands-on investigation and engaging activities. These programs are sure to energize homeschool students in their quest to discover more about the natural world!

Homeschool Days programs are recommended for children with learning needs equivalent to kindergarten through 5th grade.

Scheduled select Mondays (10:00 – 11:30 a.m.).

Registration opens approximately 2 months before and closes the Thursday before each program.

December & February

Homeschool STEM Studio

Homeschool STEM Studio is a workshop-style program that allows homeschool students to explore exciting STEM topics through hands-on, project-based learning. From 3D printing to circuitry and everything in between, students will grow their knowledge and skills in science, technology, engineering, and math through fun and creative activities!

Homeschool STEM Studio programs are recommended for children with learning needs equivalent to 3rd through 6th grade.

Scheduled select Mondays (times may vary).

Registration opens approximately 2 months before and closes the Thursday before each program.

  • While designed specifically for homeschool families, all families are welcome to participate, provided their children meet the recommended age guidelines.

  • Programs are designed to proceed rain or shine. However, some activities may be modified or moved indoors if needed.

  • Sign up for our “Education Family Events” email list by contacting our education staff at edu-programs@fwbg.org. You’ll receive seasonal updates, typically once every three months. To help avoid these being mislabeled as junk mail, please whitelist the FWBG.org domain in your email account.

  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor activities and a water bottle. Specific supplies will be noted in the registration details.

  • Yes, adults are encouraged to stay and participate, fostering a shared family learning experience.
    • Homeschool Days: $12 per student ($10 for member students); $5 per adult (free for member adults).
    • Homeschool STEM Studio: $15 per student ($12 for member students); $5 per adult (free for member adults).

    Occasionally, unique pricing may apply and will be indicated in the registration details.
