July & August Early Closure: The Garden will close early at 3 PM daily, with final entry at 2 PM.

Bat Walk Tour

As the sun sets, the Garden transforms into a world full of nocturnal life waiting to be discovered. Join us for a guided Bat Walk and experience the Garden after dark while exploring the lives of one of Texas’ most fascinating mammals.

During this evening adventure, you’ll learn how bats use echolocation to navigate the night, discover the insects that make up their diet, and uncover the vital role bats play in maintaining healthy ecosystems. Along the way, you’ll also learn about the Garden’s participation in bat monitoring efforts that help scientists better understand and conserve these remarkable animals.

Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a unique evening outdoors, this one-mile walk offers a chance to see the Garden from a whole new perspective.

Time: 7:30–9 PM

Tickets: $7/Adult or $7/Child

Note: While we’ll be on the lookout for bats and other nighttime wildlife, sightings cannot be guaranteed. The walk covers approximately one mile over Garden trails (much of the route is on unpaved walkways).
