If you would love a docent-led tour of the Japanese Garden but are concerned about your ability to negotiate the challenging terrain, this is the tour for you.
The pace of this 60-minute tour is slow and relaxed. Guests walk no more than 1/3 of a mile with three opportunities for bench-seating rests and must be able to climb three steps (with railings) and manage slight elevation changes.
A minimum of one guest is required per tour with a maximum of 12 guests. (We can accommodate 12 guests with two docent-led groups and a 15-minute staggered start.)
Tour length: 60 minutes
Terrain: A specifically designed route covers approximately 1/3rd of the garden, avoiding hilly and staired areas.
Group size: Individuals, small groups or families, and large groups of up to 60 guests are welcome.
