The Garden in Bloom
You are invited to stroll the grounds of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden as grounds supervisor Rob Bauereisen provides you with an overview of spring color in the garden. Come see the many flowering trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials and bulbs that grace the landscape within the botanic garden during the spring.

Front Porch Citrus
Plant your own citrus grove right here in North Texas! Homegrown fresh key lime pie, orange marmalade and ice cold lemonade are just a growing season away. This course will teach you how to grow potted citrus on the front porch or the back patio. If you have some sun and just a little bit of room, you can grow these attractive and useful plants. All tools and materials provided. This class will take place at the instructor’s home in Fort Worth. Details provided in your course confirmation.

Quit Smoking in the Japanese Garden
One of the best places to quit smoking is the Japanese Garden. The best time to quit, when you think about it, is now. This smoker-friendly class is designed for those who don’t want to quit but know they should. Using unique methods that are part of learning the ancient art of T’ai Chi, the smoker will learn to finally overcome his or her dependence on tobacco. Motivational strategies, relaxation exercises, and group discussion will be part of the process of pre-quitting, quitting, and post-quitting. Techniques such as Punching Up the Yuck Factor, Lite Discipline, and Investing in Loss are intended to move the student into the nonsmoking section of life permanently.

Champagne in the Garden
Enjoy a Sparkling Wine evening in the beautiful Japanese Garden. You will learn how sparkling wines are produced and sample five from different areas of the world including Champagne, France. Participants will receive a free admission ticket to the Botanic Garden’s Japanese Festival (April 28 – 29)! Please Note: no perfume or cologne. You must be 21 to register for this class. Photographing in the Gardens – DSLR Photography
Learn how to master your digital camera’s settings and the relationship between shutter speed and aperture for depth of field, motion, sharpness and perfect exposure. Improve your skills of composition and capture perfect exposure and rich color each and every time. Class begins with lecture and demo, followed by shooting in the gardens with the guidance of the instructor.
