LIGHTSCAPE: Frequently Asked Questions


Guests will be enchanted by magical light displays set along a beautifully illuminated one-mile path winding through the Garden. 

In addition to the captivating light displays, guests will have an opportunity to enjoy festive food and drinks, including roasting s'mores. 

Lightscape is a truly memorable, family-friendly walking event that is perfect for holiday entertainment and gatherings.

Entry times available every 15 minutes from 5:45 pm - 9:00 pm. Most guests finish the trail in 90 minutes. 

The event is located at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76107.

A $20 On-site and Handicapped parking fee applies for all guests entering the Garden for Lightscape after 5:00 pm each night of the event.

A $15 Off-site parking fee applies for all guests who select off-site parking or choose to pay the day of.
Off-site parking for events on 11/18, 11/19, and 11/20 will be at the Farrington Field* parking lot (1501 University Drive). The remainder of off-site parking for events 11/21/22-1/8/23 will be at Dickies Yellow Lots (adjacent to the north entrance of the garden).

On-site parking is included with all VIP tickets.

*Shuttles will be provided from Farrington Field to the Garden, free of charge.

We strongly advise you to buy parking online in advance of your arrival.

The parking fee does not apply to those arriving via a ride-share vehicle. Please enter at the North entrance of the Botanic Garden off Trail/University Drive.

Tickets can be purchased online. Due to high demand we highly recommend you purchase tickets in advance to ensure your entry. Lightscape does not guarantee ticket availability at the Box Office on the day of the event.

FWBG members may purchase tickets beginning June 7th during our members-only sale.

Lightscape tickets go on sale to the public on June 8th. 

Tickets for this event are timed in 15-minute increments (first slot, 5:45 pm.; last slot, 9:00 pm).

Prices vary, based on the day of the week and the date selected. Advance prices are below (member/non-member). Tickets purchased the day of the event is an additional $2 per ticket.

Yes. FWBG|BRIT members can purchase tickets online and receive $5 off regular ticket prices. 

Only FWBG|BRIT members are eligible for this discount. Additional service fees apply to the member prices.

Yes, you can become a member online by clicking here or by visiting Guest Services during normal business hours.

No. Admission to Lightscape and the Garden are separate. Lightscape is a ticketed evening event with admissions starting nightly at 5:45 pm. If you wish to visit the Garden during the day, general admission rates apply. If you have both general admission and Lightscape tickets, you must exit the garden by 4:00 pm and return to enter Lightscape at your designated timed entry. 

The VIP experience grants exclusive "arrive anytime" access within your chosen date, and, a VIP parking spot in the onsite parking lot. 


We recommend booking in advance online. Each timed entry has a limited capacity, and we expect this event to sell out. You can also purchase parking online before your visit to save time. If you wish to buy more than 30 tickets for a group, please contact us at (817)463-4135.

Once you are admitted, you do not have a time limit to complete your visit. 

Yes. We will accommodate you in the next slots based on availability, but please be aware that there is no entry after 9:00 pm. and the event ends at 10:00 pm. Please ensure you leave enough time to arrive on time if you are traveling a long way. 

Choose your date carefully! Please make sure that you have chosen the correct date and time slot at the time of your booking. The Garden is unable to offer exchanges after November 1, 2022 or refunds once Lightscape tickets have been purchased. In the event you are unable to use your ticket, please consider your purchase a donation to the Fort Worth Botanic Garrden|BRIT, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Lightscape is an outdoor illuminated event. If the weather presents a hazard and a risk to safety, the Garden’s decision to cancel the event will be made at 2 pm. on the day of the event. If Lightscape is cancelled, you will be notified by text message of any cancellation and the re-booking process. We advise you to check the website and social media for the latest updates before you travel to the Garden. 

If Lightscape is cancelled in line with the cancellation policy and ticket holders are not able to attend an alternative night offered, then a refund will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The service fee is not refundable under any circumstances. 

Yes, but exchanges are subject to a $10 transaction fee per exchange. This fee applies to members and non-members. Exchanges will not be allowed after November 1, 2022. However, there are no refunds. Please note that you will need to have your Reference Number on hand, and this will render your original tickets invalid.



The lighted path is a 1.2-mile-long loop around the Garden. This is a self-guided walking event, there are no shuttles or tours. Lightscape is a one-way path. 

No pets are allowed. Only ADA-designated service animals are allowed. 

The route is designed so that it can be navigated on paved paths. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden has manual wheelchairs that can be loaned, free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of use; no reservations are accepted. If you have particular access requirements, please call the Garden at (817)332-4441 for further inquiries.

No. Only food and drinks purchased on-site are permitted to be consumed during the illuminated trail. 

Yes! While waiting for the perfect shot please do not block pathways or the view of others. No tripods/monopods are allowed. Photographs and videos are not to be used for commercial purposes. No night commercial photography is allowed during Lightscape.

Drones are not permitted.
