Pollinator Gardening

Are you captivated by the beauty of Butterflies in the Garden and eager to welcome more moths and butterflies into your garden? Join us to explore the essentials of designing a pollinator garden tailored to thrive in the unique growing conditions of North Texas. Our knowledgeable horticulturist will discuss plant species adored by local insects and hummingbirds, optimal plant pairings, and essential tips for planning and maintaining a thriving garden that attracts pollinators. Class will conclude with a visit to the Butterflies in the Garden exhibit, offering a firsthand look at recommended plants and igniting your imagination to cultivate your own vibrant sanctuary teeming with diverse pollinators right at your doorstep.

Registration includes Garden admission for the day. We encourage you to explore the Garden after class!

Price: $25/Adult or $20/Member Adult

Location: Check-in at Garden Center / Park in main lot

Materials: Please bring a notebook and pen.

Instructor: Maddie Fay is an experienced horticulturist in charge of the Texas Native Boardwalk as well as the Fruit and Citrus section of our bi-annual plant sale. She is passionate about teaching others how to garden in small spaces and create an oasis for wildlife in their own backyard.

Inclement Weather: This class is indoors and will proceed as scheduled, rain or shine.
