Carlquist Collection Tour & Exploration
Explore the BRIT Library’s Sherwin Carlquist Collection, which documents the mid-20th-century expeditions of botanist Sherwin Carlquist as he collected plants on islands around the world. Members of the Carlquist project team will share his captivating photographs of flora, fauna, people, and landscapes from these journeys.
Guests will also be invited to participate in a scientific scavenger hunt, connecting Carlquist’s original field notes with his photographs and botanical specimens to uncover the stories behind his research.
