Ikebana Workshop: Naturally Dried Materials

Explore the beautiful art of Japanese floral arrangement – ikebana – with our internationally-certified expert instructor. Each class starts with an introduction to ikebana concepts and rules, followed by a demonstration featuring the session’s theme and materials. Then you’ll get hands-on crafting your own arrangement and class will end with participants sharing their results. Whether you are a first-time ikebana explorer or an avid student, our Ikebana Workshops are designed to welcome all levels of experience.

This class will balance dried botanical materials and fresh florals to create interesting ikebana art. Explore the guiding elements and principals of ikebana style and create a unique design to take home.

Registration includes Garden admission for the day—we encourage you to explore the Garden before and after class!

Location: Check-in at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas / Park in main lot

Materials: Please bring floral clippers if you have them.
