Organized by BRIT Library, this exhibition highlights Carlquist’s powerful observation of nature through his vivid field photographs and field notebooks, revealing Carlquist’s curiosity and observations that reshaped our understanding of the natural world.

Join the U.S. National Science Foundation-funded Carlquist team and FWBG leadership for brief remarks about BRIT Library’s Sherwin Carlquist Collection and the Carlquist team’s efforts to connect this prolific American botanist’s field work archives to his herbarium specimens at California Botanic Garden. Light refreshments will be provided.
