Creative Explorations: Natural Dyes from Flowers

Explore new artistic media and techniques through plant-based projects with a fun and inspiring local artist. These monthly classes are appropriate for all experience levels and promote enjoyment over perfection. Reawaken your creative spirit with our instructor’s open-ended, judgment-free approach to art!

Dip into the chromatic world of natural plant dyes and explore the color pallet in your garden! We will work through some common challenges of converting plant material into color vats and discover which colors can stand the test of time in the Texas sun. Please wear dark colors/clothes that are okay to get messy, as we may splash colors during our creative pursuits.

Registration includes Garden admission for the day. We encourage you to explore the Garden before class to get your creative juices flowing.
