BRIT Reads Book Club: “Brave the Wild River” by Melissa L. Sevigny

Please note that this month we meet on the second Monday of the month.

Do you love to read? Are you passionate about botany, natural history, sustainability and similar topics? Then, you’ll love the BRIT Reads Book Club! This informal group meets every other month to discuss a chosen book, in-person or online. We begin with a moderator summarizing the book and reviewing its key points. Then there is an opportunity for discussion—all are encouraged to share their perspectives and thoughts. You will leave with new information, new perspectives and new connections to others with shared interests. Don’t have time to read the book? No worries! Join us to hear the review and jump in on the discussion!

In December, join us to discuss Melissa L. Sevigny’s “Brave the Wild River: The Untold Story of Two Women Who Mapped the Botany of the Grand Canyon.”

Date: Monday, December 8, 2025. Registration closes December 4.

Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM

Price: Free

Location: Check-in at Botanical Research Institute of Texas / Park in main lot
