The FWBG orchid collection was founded in 2009. Working closely with the Fort Worth Orchid Society, the FWBG promotes orchid conservation by maintaining, building, and curating the orchid collection, and participating in sales, orchid shows, workshops, and public displays.
The conservation priorities for this collection are New World orchid species of greatest conservation concern, followed by New World orchid species generally, and finally, primary and historic hybrids of cultural significance. The collection is not currently available for viewing by the public.
