The Garden will be closed to the public until 11 AM on Saturday, February 22, due to the Cowtown Marathon.
The Rainforest Conservatory is temporarily closed as we prepare for the highly anticipated Butterflies in the Garden event, opening on March 1.

Backyard Vegetable Garden

The Backyard Vegetable Garden is a working garden featuring vegetable beds, fruit trees, and a greenhouse, used for children’s programs such as Little Sprouts. Fort Worth Botanic Garden (FWBG) has partnered with Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County (UGM-TC) to boost urban agriculture, food security, and community education.

Horticulture staff predict the garden will yield thousands of pounds of produce throughout the year for UGM-TC’s soup kitchen. Tarrant County Master Gardeners help with the garden’s daily upkeep.
