B.S. in Environmental Science with a Minor in Marketing, The University of Texas at Arlington
Payton joined the FWBG|BRIT staff in June 2021 as the Education Operations Specialist, providing administrative support to the SEED School, family programs, and Volunteer services. Before coming to BRIT, Payton was offered a chance to be a Park Interpreter in Sitka, Alaska, during her last year of college. However, due to the COVID-19 crisis, this opportunity was cancelled, and she hopes to someday achieve her dream of working in a national park in some capacity.
Payton has a passion for music, all things vintage, and discovering new sustainability initiatives. At FWBG|BRIT, she is excited to gain experience working in the non-profit sector, as well as seeing first-hand the processes involved in e-STEM programming. She hopes that people come to the garden open minded and leave with a new perspective and love for nature and all the living beings within it.
