BRIT Reads Book Club: “Waste Wars” by Alexander Clapp

Do you love to read? Are you passionate about botany, natural history, sustainability and similar topics? Then, you’ll love the BRIT Reads Book Club! This informal group meets every other month to discuss a chosen book, in-person and virtually. We begin with a moderator summarizing the book and reviewing its key points. Then there is an opportunity for discussion—all are encouraged to share their perspectives and thoughts. You will leave with new information, new perspectives and new connections to others with shared interests. Don’t have time to read the book? No worries! Join us to hear the review and jump in on the discussion!

Please note that this month we meet on the second Monday of the month. In December, join us to discuss Alexander Clapp’s Waste Wars: The Wild Afterlife of Your Trash. Learn about what really happens to all of the items that you place in your recycling bin. Discover the environmental impact that fast fashion and technology waste has on our planet.

These events are free for all adults and member adults.  Registration is recommended to help us prepare a top-notch experience.
