There are more than 1,800 species in the genus Begonia. The Botanic Garden collection contains over 350 species and over 600 hybrids, making it the largest begonia collection in North America. In 2015, the FWBG became the first botanic garden in Texas to receive accreditation for its begonia collection through the Plant Collections Network and currently has the only accredited begonia collection in the nation.
Tour length: 45 to 60 minutes
Terrain: Flat, even ground, some gravel paths, not wheelchair-accessible
Group size: Groups of up to 20 guests are welcome.

Children, ages 6 to 15 – $6
Adults, aged 16 to 64 – $12
Senior Adults, age 65 and older – $10
We schedule 1 docent for every 8 participants to ensure everyone in your group has a great experience. A docent fee of $50 is required for every 8 guests in addition to the general admission. Full payment of general admission passes and the docent fee(s) are due at least 2 weeks before the scheduled tour date.
Groups paying for 20 or more admission tickets will receive $2 off regular admission per person.
