Admissions

Group discounts are available for general admission tickets. 20 or more tickets purchased in one transaction receive $2 off each ticket type. This is available both online and in-person.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden honors discounts are available only on our website. Third-party pricing and promotions will not be accepted. One discount per guest, not to be combined with other offers, excluding parking discounts and promotions.

The Garden works hard to enable individuals and families at all income levels can enjoy the Garden. The Garden also offers multiple free admission days every year.
- Lone Star Card Discounts: Individuals with SNAP/WIC receive discounted family membership ($30) and, through the Museums4All program, complimentary admission (adults and children under 15 free, same household, general admission only. Not applicable for special events).
- MusePass: Free family passes are available to check out in all City of Fort Worth public libraries with your valid Fort Worth Library card. Other municipal library cards are not accepted.
- Blue Star Program: Free admission between Armed Forces Day (May 18, 2024) and Labor Day (September 2, 2024) for active military personnel (with military ID) plus up to five family members.
- Veterans: Receive complimentary admission (with military ID) throughout the year. Does not apply to family members.
- Family Community Pass Program: 5,000 admission passes are distributed annually through nonprofits to provide to their clients, ensuring transportation is also available.
- Free After-Hour Family and Cultural Events: Offered quarterly.
- FWISD Students: Children under age 18 with FWISD school ID receive free admission from 3 to 6 pm every school day (not valid on summer vacation or school holidays/breaks).
- Teachers: All teachers can receive free general admission (other family members or guests excluded) with a school-issued ID from a public or private school. Not available to non-teaching FWISD staff.
- Free Admission Days: Offered quarterly, including:
- Earth Day – Friday, April 25
- Juneteenth – Thursday, June 19
- Celebramos Kick-Off – Saturday, September 13

Students on free and reduced lunches and classes from Title I schools may be eligible for free or reduced admission. FWISD classes also receive special discounts. Several options are available for school groups, including professionally-led science lessons in the Garden. Contact the education department for more information at education@brit.org.

The FWBG launched a tiered pricing program in January 2023. Admission fees remained flat for online/kiosk tickets to encourage advanced ticket purchases. When purchasing tickets in person, there is a higher fee for the personalized attention you receive during higher-attended days.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden began charging admission fees to non-members on July 19, 2019 when a community-based, independent task force determined that a multifaceted approach (including bonds, philanthropy and increased generated revenue) was needed to meet the needs of the Garden and help it become a world-class nature destination.

Adult Education Programs
Camps

Pickup for half-day camps is from 12:00 to 12:30 PM, and full-day camps from 3:00 to 3:30 PM. Each camper gets two unique ID cards. Bring one to your camper’s classroom at pickup. A staff member will check the ID and have you sign for your child. If someone else is picking up your camper, give them the second card or a photo of it. Without a card or photo, camp staff will check their ID against the registered pickup information.

All change requests must be sent via email at least two weeks before your scheduled session. A $25 fee applies to each request, with a limit of two changes per camper per season. We will try to accommodate requests based on availability, but if the change can’t be made, the standard refund policy applies to cancellations. If you’d like to switch to a full session, you can join the waitlist, but a spot isn’t guaranteed. Send all requests to Lauren Reeves at lreeves@fwbg.org.

Extended Care is available for full-day camps from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Campers not enrolled in Extended Care but picked up after 3:30 PM will be charged for it. If a camper isn’t picked up by 4:30 PM, late fees apply: $10 for up to 15 minutes, plus $1 for each additional minute after 4:45 PM. Late fees will be invoiced and must be paid promptly. Unpaid fees may result in disqualification from future camps.

Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m.
On Monday of each camp week, we will greet you in the BRIT building to confirm your camper’s registration, give you an information packet and tag for pickup, and lead you and your camper to their classroom.
During the rest of the week, please walk your camper inside the BRIT building to their classroom.

You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of registering. Cancellations made up to two weeks before the camp start date will receive an 80% refund. No refunds are available within two weeks of the camp. This policy applies to all cancellations, including those due to illness or family emergencies. To cancel, send a written request via email. The email timestamp will serve as the official cancellation time. Send cancellation emails to Lauren Reeves at lreeves@fwbg.org.

Yes, discounted rates are offered for students from Title 1 schools.

Adults not included in the pre-paid registration will be charged the full admission fee on the day of the visit.

Yes, a minimum of one chaperone per ten students is required for safety reasons. Required chaperones are registered free of charge, though additional adults are charged a registration fee.

Yes, participant numbers can be adjusted during the registration process and must be finalized two weeks before the visit when payment is due.

Field trips are priced based on the number of participants. For groups of 20 or fewer, a flat fee is charged, determined by the type of field trip.

- Homeschool Days: Hands-on environmental science programs designed for children with learning needs equivalent to kindergarten through 5th grade.
- Homeschool STEM Studio: Workshop-style programs focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) topics for children with learning needs equivalent to 3rd through 6th grade.
Membership

After April 1, 2019 a separate membership to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and BRIT is necessary to gain Garden and BRIT benefits. If you want more information about your Society membership, contact the Fort Worth Botanical Society office at (817) 392-5548.

The Fort Worth Public Library offers passes to allow library users to visit the Fort Worth Botanic Garden at no charge. The passes can be checked out from a library for one week of free admission for two adults with children 17 and younger that reside in the same household. Contact your local Fort Worth Library for more information.

Some other garden memberships provide admission to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, but no discounts on events, gift shops, invites and other Fort Worth Botanic Garden member benefits apply.

The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) is a 501(c)(3) organization with tax-exempt status.
Memberships are partially tax-deductible at Supporter, Patron and Affiliate-level memberships. For Access to Affiliate, goods or services valued at $100.00 have been provided. The amount of the membership contribution in excess of the value of goods and services received is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
If considering a grant from donor-advised funds to cover annual membership fees, a donor may either waive all tangible benefits or use a personal source to pay the entire membership value. Please consult your donor-advised fund manager, tax advisors, and/or legal counsel.

Access memberships are a $30 yearly membership available for recipients of Lonestar, SNAP, WIC, Medicaid or Museums4All. Benefits reflect the Family membership level. To become a member at the Access level, contact the membership office or visit the FWBG admissions desk.

Digital guest passes are one-time use digital passes that can be redeemed at the admissions desk. These guest passes provide admission into the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, including the Japanese Garden. The number of digital guest passes provided on a membership varies by membership level.

As long as children 18 and under are visiting with one of the primary members on a Family to Affiliate level membership, they will not need a membership card to gain entry into the Garden. Please note children 15 and under require adult supervision. All children under 5 years old will be free regardless of membership.

You can add up to 2 named adults and children with a Family to Affiliate level membership if they haven’t been previously added. If names are already on the account, then the names cannot be changed while the membership is active.

No. You don’t have to provide all names, but the primary member must be listed at the time of purchase. If you choose to name the 2nd adult, that adult and primary member will receive membership cards. If no 2nd adult name is listed, only the primary member will receive a membership card. The number of total people admitted per visit for each membership level is as follows:
- Access – Admits 2 adults and children per visit. Cardholder must be present.
- Family – Admits 2 adults and children per visit. Cardholder must be present.
- Supporter – Admits 2 adults and children per visit. Cardholder must be present.
- Patron – Admits 3 adults and children per visit. Cardholder must be present.
- Affiliate – Admits 4 adults and children per visit. Cardholder must be present.

Private Events

Yes, by following these simple steps:
- You must purchase a $30 photography pass plus admission fees that you will need to purchase at the Garden Center Admissions Desk.
- If you are not reserving a space, we do not allow any props to be set anywhere in the garden for proposals, including but not limited to: marquee letters of any size, picnic set ups, candles, alcohol, sparklers, floral arrangements, musicians, portraits, lanterns, etc.
- We do not block any area unless you reserve it as a venue in advance.
- Please be mindful of events going on and do not enter an area while an event is happening.

- FWBG does not allow flames of any kind on our property, this may include candles, sparklers, fireworks, etc. We do not allow petals, rice, or confetti to be thrown and instead recommend bubbles, waivable streamers, or native butterfly releases for flower girls.
- We do not allow pop-up weddings in the garden. All weddings must be booked through the Rentals office 24-hours in advance.
- Only service animals are permitted in the Garden – please leave all other animals at home. Animals are not allowed to stay in unattended vehicles.
- We are a non-smoking facility.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden offers several venue options, including covered outdoor rain backups. However, please note that the Horseshoe, Fuller Garden, Mikoshi Deck, and Grove do not include rain backup options.
We will allow all weddings to continue so long as conditions are safe to do so. Some of our very best (and most romantic) weddings have happened in the rain!
In the case of inclement weather for an outdoor wedding or event, FWBG makes a decision before 10:00 a.m. on the day of your event.

- All alcohol must be purchased & served by our on-site caterer, Rock Springs Café.
- Rental blocks between 7:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday-Friday requesting catering services for breakfast and/or lunch are required to use the FWBG preferred caterer Rock Springs Café and Catering. - Tent rentals for the Grove must be rented through Bright Event Rentals’ website at www.bright.com, or by phone at 972-602-3303, or email dhierholzer@bright.com

Our venue sites are available a la carte or, in many cases, as packages. If you would like to hold a ceremony only at one of our venues you are more than welcome to do so!

Per our contract:
USER may terminate Rental Agreement at any time prior to the event, however, USER will be subjected to charges based on the below schedule:
- Execution of Rental Agreement more than 90 days prior to the event date – USER will forfeit 50% of total estimated charges.
- 89 days prior to the date of event or less – User will forfeit 100% of total estimated charges.
USER may make changes to the EVENT date, one time within 12-months from original event date, based on availability, for a $300 change fee.

FWBG provides an Event Manager to act as your venue contact during the time leading up to your event and on the day of your event; however, they may oversee multiple events. We provide support staff to block your space from the public and FWBG security personnel are stationed in our parking lots.
All other staffing (third-party vendors for decorating, musicians, rentals, wait staff, bussers, and culinary staff) are provided through your third-party contracted vendors.
Please note that the FWBG Event Manager does not act as a wedding planner or day-of coordinator.

All weddings with 125 or more guests for the ceremony, or 100 or more guests for a wedding reception only or ceremony and reception packages, we require the hiring of an insured planner or day-of coordinator. If the planner or coordinator is not on our preferred vendor’s list, written approval must be obtained at least 90 days prior to the event date.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is partnered with an onsite caterer, Rock Springs Café, which is the exclusive licensed provider of alcoholic beverages on-site; all beverage service must be purchased and served by Rock Springs Café.

On your wedding day, you have access to your venue at the contracted time selected at the time of booking.
Additional time can be added to your rental for set-up or tear-down based on availability for $300 per hour before 10:00 pm or $500 per hour after 10:00 pm. All events must end by 11:00pm, with cleanup complete by 12:00am.

Unfortunately, we cannot place a hold on a venue without payment and a signed contract. All of our venues are rented on a first-come, first-served basis.

Absolutely! We offer two types of tours – guided and self-guided. Both require reservations in advance. Our guided tour is offered by our Sales and Events Managers and can be scheduled Monday through Friday based on availability.
We ask that you come prepared with your 3 favorite venues selected to view. Self-guided tours can be scheduled 7 days a week during business hours with complimentary admission for up to 3 guests to view all of our garden venues without a guide.
