You’ve heard of products made from crops like corn and cotton, both rapidly renewable materials. These crops, however, can be associated with environmental problems due to fertilizers, pesticides and energy used in farming. Instead, look for products made from agricultural waste from crops such as sugarcane, wheat, and sorghum. The left-over stalks are being used for wall coverings, cabinetry, and flooring.
