Beat the Heat! Summer Weather Safety Tips

With temperatures rising, we want to ensure your visit to FWBG is enjoyable and safe. Please keep these tips in mind.

  • Hydration is key! Bring a reusable water bottle and refill it often at our water stations throughout the garden.
  • Seek shade whenever possible. Take breaks under our beautiful trees and covered areas.
  • Plan your visit. The mornings are typically cooler. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Dress for the sun. Opt for lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and sunglasses.
  • Sunscreen is essential. Apply sunscreen generously and reapply throughout your visit.
Heat-related emergencies:
If you or someone you’re with experiences symptoms of heatstroke, heat exhaustion, or cramps, seek medical attention immediately. Call 911 or find the nearest staff member for assistance.

By following these simple tips, you can enjoy your visit to FWBG and stay safe in the summer heat!
