Armchair Botany! Winter Tree Identification
Winter Tree Identification
Our Armchair Botany events are forums for presentation and discussion about botany, herbarium specimens, and collection – and an invitation to get involved!
Join us on December 8th at noon via Zoom, as we go over some techniques using the fruit, twigs, and bark on trees to help us identify them in the winter season.
After our presentation and a Q&A discussion, we’ll move into a guided “transcription blitz” where we’ll show you how to pull data from herbarium specimen images on your own time, to make your own discoveries and help us bring these collections to light. Please feel free to jump in, whether it’s your first or dozenth time! You can see more about the Armchair Botanist program here
