Parking Lot Birding & Book Signing

Registration for this class is closed. 

Join Jennifer Bristol, naturalist and author of Parking Lot Birding, for a birding walk through the Pollinator Pathway and other spaces to observe the birds in their fall migration. Attendees will get learn about what birds are passing through on the migration and how to identify them. We will spend about 10 minutes for gathering and introduction and 45 minutes to 60 minutes birding, followed by a book signing. Attendees will have time to ask questions and chat in an easy stroll through the gardens nearest the parking areas. Registration includes the price of the book.

Instructor: Jennifer Bristol is the former director of Texas Children in Nature program of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The 2018 and 2019 recipient of the Most Valuable Birder Award in the Great Texas Birding Classic, she has contributed articles to Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine and other publications. A former park ranger, business owner, and marketing executive, she also has served on the advisory boards for the Texas Wildlife Association and Travis Audubon. She resides in Austin.

*This class takes place outdoors. In the event of pending inclement weather, registrants will be notified the day before the scheduled class if the rain date needs to be used.

Materials: Attendees should bring a pair of binoculars, study walking shoes, and a hat if it is sunny.
