Girl’s Nature Workshop: Kitchen Scrap Gardening

This event is sold out. Contact mschmidlkofer@fwbg.org to be added to the waitlist.

Together in partnership, the Fort Worth Garden Club (FWGC) and FWBG|BRIT present the Girl’s Nature Workshop series! These hands-on programs connect girls and their families to the fascinating world of horticulture and floriculture. Each workshop highlights skills and activities designed to inspire the next generation of plant-lovers and environmental stewards.

Girl Scouts can complete badge work through these programs, but all girls are welcome! Please note: petals or badges are not available on-site; they can be purchased at the Girl Scout store or online.

In the February session, participants will learn to grow delicious vegetables from kitchen scraps! They’ll learn how to turn trash into culinary treasures through plant propagation as well as make eco-friendly art!

This series is recommended for ages 7-12. Registration includes admission to the Garden for the day!

Saturday, February 11 (1:00 – 2:30 pm)

Registration deadline: February 8

$10 /participant, $10 adult

*This event is partially outdoors and partially indoors. In the event of inclement weather, only the indoor locations will be used. An email with program details, including the location on site, will be sent to all registrants the day after the registration deadline. To help avoid this important communication being mislabeled as junk mail, please whitelist the fwbg.org domain with your email provider.
