Fridafest “An Evening at Casa Azul” – Adult Event (21+)
Join us in our Leonard Courtyard, under the twinkling lights, where we have replicated several of the better-known cornerstones of Frida Kahlo’s lifelong beloved home, La Casa Azul, in Mexico City. Enjoy the lush gardens, topiaries of Frida’s beloved animals an entryway façade painted with its namesake Blue.
It will be a party atmosphere and guests are encouraged to come dressed like Frida. Be a part of a record-setting evening for how many dressed like Frida’s can be in one photo.
TCU’s mariachi band will kick start the evening’s entertainment followed by Folklorico dancers. The band Latin Breed will take us through the evening with their Latin music. 9:00p: Latin Breed Performance (Born on the south side of San Antonio, The Latin Breed is one of the most distinctive Tejano bands to survive the Chicano/Tejano renaissance. The 10-piece band continues performing across the nation.)
