Family Workshop: Sugar Skulls
Registration for this event is now closed.
Join ¡Celebramos! by making your very own sugar skull! A local artist will help guide children and their families as each participant receives a sugar skull to decorate. Be inspired by the fall colors of the Garden and learn more about this unique tradition while making memories together. All supplies are included.
Recommended learning levels for this program: 6-12 years.
Saturday, September 17 (10:00 – 11:00 am)
Registration deadline: September 14
This program is best suited for children aged 6 – 12 years old, or at the equivalent learning levels. If you are bringing a younger or older individual who will need their own skull base to decorate, please register them as a participant.* Having an accurate participant count allows us to provide the appropriate number of staff and supplies for everyone to have the best experience. Thank you!
* Participants ages 5 and under may need more assistance from parents or older siblings.
Non-member pricing:
$20 /participant (age 6-12 or otherwise participating)
$5 /non-participant adult (includes Garden admission for the day – great savings)
Member pricing:
$15 /participant (age 6-12 or otherwise participating)
$0 /non-participant adult (covered by your membership benefits!)
Non-participating children under 6 are free and need not be registered
Check-in: Leonard Courtyard*
*This event takes place outdoors. In the event of pending inclement weather, registrants will be notified the day before the program if the rain date (September 24) will be used.
